The ACPCG
Ditmer Digital and Design is a member of The American
Child Photographers Charity Guild.
The American Child Photographers Charity Guild (ACPCG)
is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization of child
photographer from all over the country, who have come
together to form a guild dedicated to children in need
and their families.
ACPCG was formed in 2004 and now has over 2000 photographers
involved. This organization provides opportunities to
give back to the community by helping families of desperately
ill children and parents who are experiencing the loss
of a baby, create a lifetime of memories in just a short
amount of moments.
Kristi provides desperately ill infants and children
in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of local hospitals
and children in their areas with terminal illnesses with
complimentary portrait sessions, capturing and preserving
tender moments of their young lives.
Kristi strives to provide beautiful, pictures for families
who are dealing with significant grief. At a time when
people are not considering professional pictures, she
steps in to supply families with portraits of their terminally
ill children and parents experiencing early infant loss.
These pictures help families with the grieving process
by giving them memories they can hold onto for a lifetime.
The style is mostly black and white, but color is an
option if the family wishes. The sessions are completely
free and families receive a 4x6 proof book as well as
a DVD of the images.
Though the subjects for ACPCG are mostly babies and young
children, they do not have to be, older children qualify
as well. Kristi will travel to the families in need, but
families may also come into the studio if their condition
allows it and if they would rather have studio pictures.
Ditmer Digital and Design also extends these services
to parents suffering a terminal illness who want to preserve
that special bond between them and their small children.
There are absolutely no fees for this service.
